With the new album “Electric Trinity” in the studio getting prepared for mixing, Bloodshot Buffalo brings you this 19:12 minute-long single called “Red Star, Blue Mass”. As the first Bloodshot Buffalo song to be recorded outside the previous lo-fi sound quality of the previous 9 albums, this song is the true upgrade to a bigger, fuller, and heavier tone that’s been asked for time and time again.

Sun rise shed light on the mountains that were formed a million years ago
Seas cooling on the dark side of earth light fades from depths below
Billion years set the planet up with life, radioactive fire
Slowly chip away the life span, block out what was known to be
 
Today the red star, becomes the blue mass floating on the horizon
Winds chill with a winter that’s been coming since the universe was born
Today the blue mass, becomes the catalyst that ends us from the horizon
Oceans freeze as the tide recedes trees take a final breath
 
Signal blacks out, solar flares cease across the cyber plane
Flight patters grounded from the sky by the freezing arctic wind
The rich scramble for their assets, the poor scramble with the wildlife
Cities frozen in the wasteland, earth becomes the perpetual night
 
Today the red star, becomes the blue mass, centered in the darkened sky
Holy books frozen in the hands, of god fearing men
Today the blue mass, becomes the black mass, we’ve waited for for centuries
Disappearing just as quickly as it came life cycle now completes
 
Darkness
Becomes earths morning light
Frozen
Horizon becomes the night
Clouds fall
Crushing cities like fragile glass
Red star
Rebirth into the blue mass

Planets gravitate toward the void, temperatures slowly fade
Saturns rings lose gravity as they quickly drift away
Planets heavy in the forming void, collide with asteroids
Solar system born into the night, amidst the blue void
 
Astral collisions no moonlight emanating in the telescopes
Satellites fall from the heavens leaving mankind left with no hope
Gods come down from the mountains as an avalanche leveling cities below
Moon drifting closer to the earth brings gravity to a choke
 
Red star, becomes the blue mass floating on the horizon
